DPS Members are invited to attend a Zoom presentation given by Dr. Andy Dell in conjunction with the Rare Breeds Survival Trust on Monday 28 February 2022 at 7:30 p.m. on the topic of:

Priority Equine Breeds – Managing genetic diversity in closed studbooks now and for future generations of ponies and breeders.

We will examine the problems caused by breeding within a closed studbook and look at how some other equine rare breed societies and their memberships have successfully adopted the SPARKS breed management strategy to maximise retention of genetic diversity.
