Area 1 Winter Foal Show 2008
The 2008 Area 1 Foal show was held on Saturday 1st November at Barnard Castle Auction Mart in Co. Durham. Unfortunately, the ground was wet but rain did manage to stop in time for the start of the show. The entries were very good again, with 23 fillies and 11 colts, and there were also plenty of spectators.
Mr E. Hayes and Miss S. Noble with Champion filly foal Stuffynwood Beauty’s Magic
Judge was Mr Walter Bedford of York, who is very successful in the showring with his famous Deighton Clydesdales and Shire horses. Walter was pleased with the number of foals presented, and was looking for good conformation and a pony capable of work. Walter showed his expertise as he inspected every pony thoroughly.
